HOUSING SERVICE – STAY FOR THE SUMMER PERIOD
Dear student,
We remind you that, as specified in Edisu Notice of competition, university residences will close on July 26, 2024. However, like every year, some residences will remain open from July 26 to August 31 to accommodate those of you who need a place to stay. Summer stay, as stipulated in Article 34 paragraph 5 of the Notice, will be charged for the month of August only at the rate of €8.18 per night for a minimum period of 7 nights.
Therefore, if you need a sleeping accommodation during the period between July 26 and August 31, you must apply online starting from July 9 and by noon on July 16, 2024. The request must be made online on your personal EDISU page → ELABORATED RANKING LIST → STAY IN SUMMER PERIOD
So, if you need a sleeping accommodation during the period between July 26 and August 31, you must apply online, selecting the dates you are interested in. Please note again that the period July 27-31 is free of charge, while the period between August 1 and 31 it’s by fee.
Important: When completing the online procedure, the last date you pick must coincide with the check-out date.
Here some additional details for special cases:
- Will you make the final check-out by July 26? Then you don’t need to apply for the summer stay.
- Will you make the final check-out between July 27 and August 1? Then you must apply for the summer stay, picking only the July dates. The period July 27-31 is free of charge.
- Will you make the check-out by July 26 and plan to return to residence in September? Then you don’t need to apply for the summer stay and just need to notify the reception the date you’ll come back in September (remember you can come back no later than September 25).
- Will you make the check out between July 27 and August 1 and plan to return in September? Then you must apply for the summer stay, by picking July dates only. The period July 27-31 is free of charge. You will also need to notify the reception the date you’ll come back in September (remember you can come back no later than September 25).
- Won’t you be checking out in the summer and staying in August as well? Then you must apply for summer stay, by picking both the July and August dates for which you need the sleeping accommodation. The period July 27-31 is free of charge.
In addition, some information about the month of August only:
For requests to stay for less than 7 consecutive nights, you must pay the amount of the 7 nights. However, if your request for less than 7 nights (seamless) is close (seamless) to the beginning or to the end of August, you’ll pay only for the nights you pick.
For example if you book:
- the nights from August 12 to 15 (4 nights), you will pay for 7 nights;
- the nights from August 1 to 4 (4 nights), you will only pay for the 4 nights, as the days are close (seamless) to the beginning of the month;
- the nights from August 28 to 31 (4 nights), you will only pay for the 4 nights, as the days are close (seamless) to the end of the month.
VERY IMPORTANT: any change or cancellation of the period picked through the online procedure must be communicated via ticket no later than August 5, 2024 (by noon), under penalty of payment of the entire requested period, even if not taken. Except for requests for change or cancellation received after August 5 due to supervening impediments adequately documented.
